Because it’s so cheap (starts from 200 THB), it’s everywhere, there are so many independent vendors. Many girls in Bangkok do this because it’s so cheap, easy and fun. You can do lot of crazy nail styles and drawings, like putting fruits, or fake diamonds, drawings. The vendors will customise a lot for you for each nail because for them it’s like drawing and making a small piece of art which you can Instagram/TikTok it coz it’s photogenic. And they last for weeks so you can still show them off after you’ve left Thailand.

When you go to check out the cashier will ask if you want it grilled, they might say “Lonn Mai?” (ร้อนมั้ย – Do you want it hot/heated?) or “Oun Mai?” (อุ่นมั้ย – Do you want it heated?). You can answer by saying the adjective “Lonn” (ร้อน – Hot) or “Oun” (อุ่น – Heated), to confirm that you want them to do that for you now.

Again when at the cashier they will ask you “Wave Mai Ka?” (เวฟมั้ยคะ – Do you want it Microwaved?), and you can answer “yes” by using the adjective “Wave” (เวฟ – Microwaved please), or “No” by using the Thai word for “No” which is “Mai” (ไม่ – No).

There is endless sight seeing options for you, but one that we would recommend is Wat Arun, the site of the old capital city, seated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
